Third Annual Live Oak Concours d'Elegance

Friday eve - April 13  Dinner with Tjaarda.       
  • The Art Gallery will be the setting for a Don Bergeron dinner with drinks and stories. Please come and visit with rare cars and our internationally unique guest.


Saturday - April 14   Country Side Cruise
  • Participants will start organizing at 6:30 am at the Historic City Park Golf Course with route info given out at the 8:00 drivers meeting.  Show participants only and we start leaving at 8:30. We end up at Digiulios Italian Restaurant for just us and a fine lunch and social moment. The restaraunt will be open just for us.

Sunday - April 15   Concours d'Elegance
  • Golf Course at 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
  • Adult:        Paid prior to April 16 th; $40. Event day is $50.                          Last day for web payment will be April 16.
  • Students: 12 to 18 $20.
  • Children:  Under 12 attend free when accompanied by a                            paying adult.
  • Tom Tjaarda, Piero Rivolta, Denise McCluggage and Jacques Grelley will be on site that morning thru the day.
  • Automotive art, books, ceramics, posters and jewelry to be shown and sold starting by 9:00 am.
  • Cancer talks by the doctors starting at 10:00 am.
  • Fashion Show to start at 11:00 am.
  • Food from Don Bergeron to be served at 11:00 am. With coffees, gelatos, snacks and drinks ready by 8:00
  • Judging and awards starting at 12:00.
  • Italian Opera to be sung at different times of the morning.
  • Brazilian Bossa Nova band plays from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
  • Four LSU Golden Girls will help guide you and answer any questions. We want you to feel at home.
  • A Texan T-6 and a Stearman biplane to be present in the        morning.
  • An electric helicopter will be hovering 400 plus feet overhead taking photos of the days events.
  • Live Oak Concours is not a formally judged concours. All that is required is that your car be in clean condition. The "Best of Show" trophy is awarded based on the sole discretion of the Concours's Official Judging Team. A "Best in Marque" trophy is also awarded.
Parking:  Follow The Signs.

  General admission will park first come first serve on the east side of golf course at hole three. Police, helpers and signs will guide you. Then a very short walk to the show. Please be extra careful when parking on the golf course. Slow and easy. Treat this ground as if it were yours, it is! Tax dollars are at work.
After you have purchase a spectator ticket and you have a special machine to park, do call or e-mail Jeff Cobb, 225-343-7525 and a special parking pass with instructions will be fowarded to you. This allows you the best parking. Gallery front lot parking with a special parking pass only. Tow aways will occur.
  Golf carts and drivers will be on hand to ferry handicap people to and from the event.
  Transporters and truck-trailer units will be parked in a secured area.

From I-10, take the Dalrymple Dr / LSU exit   (Exit 156B)
Turn right (south) onto Dalrymple Drive        (0.8 mi)
Turn left (east) onto W Lakeshore Drive        (0.2 mi)
Turn right at the driveway between the Andonie Museum and the Lod Cook Alumni Center. The five story hotel and conference center is straight ahead.
